Transitions can stir up more than expected
A major change — career, relationship, move, parenthood, retirement
Feeling unmoored, uncertain, or "in between" lives
Questioning your values, direction, or sense of self
Grief for the life or identity you're leaving behind
Anxiety about decisions and the unknown
Pressure to have it all figured out
You don't need a diagnosis or the "right" words to begin. If some of this feels familiar, that's reason enough to reach out.
What are you still holding onto that you may have already outgrown?
If sitting with these stirred something, that feeling is worth listening to. You don't need to have the answers to begin — therapy is simply a place to explore them, gently and at your pace. Book a free consultation →
Whole-person care — mind, emotion & body
Who you are is a matter of mind, heart, and body together — and transition touches all three. We draw together evidence-based and experiential approaches, always at a pace that feels safe — because lasting change happens when the whole of you is included.
Thoughts & patterns
Working with the thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that keep you stuck — building practical skills for clarity and choice, drawing on CBT, DBT, and ACT.
Feelings & parts of you
Turning toward what you feel, and the different parts of you, so emotion becomes something you can understand and move through — drawing on EFT and IFS.
Nervous system & body
Change can leave the body unsettled and anxious; grounding somatic work helps you feel steady again. We include body-based, nervous-system work because change has to be felt, not just understood.
When the ground shifts beneath you
A major transition is often treated as a practical problem — a decision to make, a next step to plan. But something deeper is usually underway: the ground beneath your sense of self is shifting, and the whole of you is reorganising around a life that no longer fits the old shape.
A transition isn't only a change of circumstance. It's the whole of you learning who you are now.
A holistic lens looks at the whole picture — not just the choice in front of you, but the person making it and the identity in motion beneath it. What defined you that is now moving into the background? What is trying to come forward that you can't quite name yet? The disorientation is real: for a while, the old shape is gone and the new one hasn't formed.
That in-between can feel like being lost. Yet it's also where new possibility lives — if you can stay with it rather than rushing to resolve it. Often what makes a transition hard isn't the change itself, but what's left unfinished with who you were: things unmourned, ungrieved, or never fully chosen.
Steadier ground comes not from forcing a new identity into place, but from staying present with what's actually shifting — honouring what you're leaving, feeling your way into what's emerging, and letting a truer sense of self take shape. You don't have to have it all figured out to begin.
How we help with life transitions
In times of transition, the old map stops working and the new one isn't drawn yet. We don't hand you someone else's answers — we help you listen more closely to your own. Paying attention to what's alive for you right now, we notice together what genuinely fits and what you've outgrown. That awareness is where a truer sense of direction begins to form.
Together we make room for the grief that change often brings, steady the anxiety of not-knowing, and help you reconnect with your own values and choices. You're the author here; our role is to walk with you as you find your footing and step, at your own pace, into who you're becoming.
The goal isn't to rush you to certainty. It's to help you feel steady even inside the unknown — clearer about your values, more trusting of your own direction, and less at the mercy of everyone else's expectations. Many people leave a transition knowing themselves better than before.
