You're Not Alone

Anxiety shows up differently for everyone

Racing or looping thoughts you can't switch off

A tight chest, shallow breath, or a pounding heart

Panic that arrives suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere

Trouble sleeping because your mind won't slow down

Avoiding places, people, or situations that feel unsafe

Feeling on edge, restless, or braced for something to go wrong

You don't need a diagnosis or the "right" words to begin. If some of this feels familiar, that's reason enough to reach out.

A Moment to Reflect

What would you say yes to if fear wasn't making the decisions?

If sitting with these stirred something, that feeling is worth listening to. You don't need to have the answers to begin — therapy is simply a place to explore them, gently and at your pace. Book a free consultation →

Our Approach to Healing

Whole-person care — mind, emotion & body

Anxiety lives in your thoughts, your feelings, and your body all at once. We draw together evidence-based and experiential approaches, always at a pace that feels safe — because lasting change happens when the whole of you is included.

The Mind · Cognitive

Thoughts & patterns

Working with the thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that keep you stuck — building practical skills for clarity and choice, drawing on CBT, DBT, and ACT.

The Emotions · Experiential

Feelings & parts of you

Turning toward what you feel, and the different parts of you, so emotion becomes something you can understand and move through — drawing on EFT and IFS.

The Body · Somatic

Nervous system & body

Anxiety keeps the nervous system on high alert; we help your body relearn safety and calm. We include body-based, nervous-system work because change has to be felt, not just understood.

A Holistic Lens

Understanding anxiety — the whole picture

Most approaches treat anxiety as a malfunction to be shut down. We see it differently. Anxiety is rarely random — it's a signal from the whole of you, pointing to something that matters: a need, a boundary, an old hurt, or a situation your system reads as unsafe. When we treat only the symptom, we miss what it's been trying to say.

Anxiety isn't a malfunction to silence. It's a signal from the whole of you — worth understanding, not just quieting.

A holistic lens looks at the whole picture — not just the anxious thought, but the person having it and the life they're living. What sits in the foreground of your awareness right now, and what's quietly in the background? What happens in your body the moment worry rises? And what are you doing to hold the feeling at bay — because sometimes that very effort is what keeps it alive.

Often anxiety grows in the gap between what we feel and what we let ourselves feel. Avoiding it, arguing with it, or bracing against it can quietly feed the loop. Something different becomes possible when, with support, you can turn toward the experience in the present moment rather than away from it.

That turning-toward is where change begins — not by forcing the anxiety to leave, but by understanding what it's protecting and gently completing what's been left unfinished. As your whole system feels more met, and more safe, the anxiety has less reason to shout.

A Different Kind of Support

How we help with anxiety

We start by helping you feel safe enough to slow down — because you can't think your way out of a nervous system stuck in alarm. Rather than only asking why you feel anxious, we pay close attention to how anxiety shows up in the present moment: the thought that sparks it, the tightening in your chest, the urge to escape. Simply noticing these patterns, with a therapist alongside you, is where change begins.

From there we work at your pace, never pushing you past what feels manageable. You'll build practical skills to quiet racing thoughts, learn to meet anxious feelings with less fear, and help your body release the tension it's been holding. Over time, anxiety stops running the show — and you get to choose how you respond.

Progress rarely looks like never feeling anxious again. It looks like anxiety losing its authority — noticing the spiral sooner, trusting that a wave will pass, and reclaiming the choices fear used to make for you. Most people are surprised by how much lighter ordinary life becomes.

Common Questions

Questions, answered

How do I know if I need therapy for anxiety?
If anxiety is interfering with your sleep, work, relationships, or daily peace of mind — or you're avoiding things you'd like to do — that's reason enough to reach out. You don't need a formal diagnosis to benefit from support.
How long does anxiety therapy take?
It depends on you. Some people feel meaningful relief within a handful of sessions; longer-standing anxiety takes more time. We'll talk openly about what to expect and check in regularly on your progress.
Do you offer in-person and online sessions?
Yes. You can meet your therapist in person at our Aurora office or online from wherever you feel comfortable — whichever helps you feel most at ease.
What if I don't know where to start?
That's completely normal. Our Client Care Manager, Susan, will have a free, no-pressure conversation with you and match you with the therapist best suited to your needs.
