You're Not Alone

Grief can touch every part of you

Waves of sadness, anger, guilt, or numbness that come and go

Feeling like you're "supposed" to be over it by now

Trouble sleeping, eating, or concentrating

A sense of unreality, or that a part of you is missing

Difficulty returning to ordinary life and routines

Grief that's complicated by how the loss happened

You don't need a diagnosis or the "right" words to begin. If some of this feels familiar, that's reason enough to reach out.

A Moment to Reflect

What have you been carrying alone that was never meant to be carried alone?

If sitting with these stirred something, that feeling is worth listening to. You don't need to have the answers to begin — therapy is simply a place to explore them, gently and at your pace. Book a free consultation →

Our Approach to Healing

Whole-person care — mind, emotion & body

Grief moves through the mind, the heart, and the body — and it deserves room in all three. We draw together evidence-based and experiential approaches, always at a pace that feels safe — because lasting change happens when the whole of you is included.

The Mind · Cognitive

Thoughts & patterns

Working with the thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that keep you stuck — building practical skills for clarity and choice, drawing on CBT, DBT, and ACT.

The Emotions · Experiential

Feelings & parts of you

Turning toward what you feel, and the different parts of you, so emotion becomes something you can understand and move through — drawing on EFT and IFS.

The Body · Somatic

Nervous system & body

Loss can lodge in the body as heaviness or tension; gentle somatic support helps you carry it more softly. We include body-based, nervous-system work because change has to be felt, not just understood.

A Holistic Lens

Grief and the whole of you

Grief is often treated as a problem to be resolved — a set of stages to pass through and be done with. We see it differently. Grief is love with nowhere left to go, and it belongs to the whole of you. It isn't a malfunction to fix; it's a process to be accompanied.

Grief isn't something to get over. It's something to be met — at the pace the whole of you can bear.

A holistic lens holds the whole picture — not only the sadness, but the person grieving and the bond that has changed. What sits in the foreground some days, and what waits quietly in the background until a song or a scent brings it forward? And what does your body do with the loss when words run out? Grief lives in far more than thoughts.

Loss often leaves things unfinished — words unsaid, a goodbye that never came, feelings tangled together. When there's no space to feel them, they don't fade; they wait. Bracing against the grief, or stepping around it, tends to keep it frozen rather than moving.

Healing doesn't mean forgetting or "moving on." It means being able to turn toward the loss in the present, feel what's there, and let it move — so that what was unfinished can find some completion, and love can find a new place to live. You were never meant to carry it alone.

A Different Kind of Support

How we help with grief & loss

There's no fixing grief, and we won't try to rush you through it. Instead, we offer a place where whatever you feel is welcome — the sadness, but also the anger, relief, guilt, or numbness that grief so often carries. Turning toward these feelings in the present, with someone steady beside you, is what allows grief to move rather than stay stuck.

At your pace, we help you tend to what feels unfinished, honour what's been lost, and gently make room for life to continue alongside the loss. This isn't about "moving on" or leaving anyone behind. It's about finding a way to carry your grief that leaves room for you to breathe again.

Healing grief doesn't mean the loss stops mattering. It means the pain becomes something you can hold rather than something that holds you — with room for memory, meaning, and even moments of ease. You get to keep the love while slowly loosening the grip of the pain.

Common Questions

Questions, answered

It's been a long time — is it too late for grief counselling?
Not at all. Grief doesn't follow a schedule, and support can help whether your loss was recent or years ago.
Is my grief "big enough" for counselling?
Any loss that's weighing on you matters — a person, a relationship, a pet, a job, a way of life. You don't need to justify your grief to seek support.
What if I just need to talk?
That's welcome. Some sessions are simply about being heard. We follow your lead on what you need each time.
How do I begin?
