When talk alone isn't enough.
Some pain is held too deep for words. We combine EMDR, somatic therapy, parts work and neurofeedback to heal trauma at the root — mind, body and nervous system together.
Book a Free Intake CallTrauma lives in the body, not just the story
You can understand exactly why you feel the way you do — and still feel it in your body, every day.
That's because anxiety, trauma and chronic stress don't only live in your thoughts. They live in the nervous system — in patterns of fight, flight and freeze that formed to keep you safe, and then never switched off. For many people, especially those carrying complex or developmental trauma, traditional talk therapy helps them make sense of things but can't quite reach what the body is still holding.
The approaches below are different. They work with the brain and body directly — helping distressing memories settle, the nervous system regulate, and the protective parts of you soften. They're how change moves from insight to something you actually feel and live.
Four ways we reach what talk can't
Chosen and combined for you — never one-size-fits-all.
EMDR
Distressing memories can get “stuck” — stored with their original fear and body sensation, so they still feel present years later. EMDR uses gentle, rhythmic bilateral stimulation (eye movements, taps or tones) to help your brain finally reprocess and file them as past.
What changes: old triggers lose their charge, memories stop hijacking the present, and you can think about what happened without being pulled back into it.
Learn moreSomatic Therapy
Trauma and stress live in patterns the thinking mind can't talk its way out of. Somatic therapy works with the body itself — helping you notice sensation, complete the stress responses that got stuck, and gently release what's held there. It's psychotherapy, with a Registered Psychotherapist.
What changes: you feel safer in your own body, less flooded or shut down, and more able to find calm — on purpose.
Learn moreParts Work (IFS)
We all carry “parts” — the inner critic, the people-pleaser, the part that numbs out — that formed to protect us, and can end up running the show. IFS helps you meet these parts with curiosity and compassion instead of conflict, and tend to the younger, wounded parts underneath them.
What changes: less war inside, more self-compassion, and a steadier, calmer sense of you leading your own life.
Learn moreNeurofeedback
When the nervous system is locked on high alert, no amount of insight makes it settle. Neurofeedback gives your brain real-time feedback so it can learn to regulate itself — at a physiological level, below conscious effort. We offer ILF (infra-low frequency) and LENS approaches.
What changes: better sleep, a calmer baseline, steadier focus and less reactivity — often reaching what talk alone cannot.
Learn moreBuilt for complex & developmental trauma
Trauma that's repeated, relational, or rooted in childhood doesn't live in one place — so it can't be healed in one way.
Complex and developmental trauma shape everything at once: your memories, your body, your nervous system, and your sense of who you are. A single method reaches part of it. Together, they reach the whole.
So we sequence the work. Neurofeedback and somatic therapy help your nervous system find safety and steadiness first — building enough ground beneath you to do deeper work without being overwhelmed. From there, parts work (IFS) tends to the protective and wounded parts that formed to survive, while EMDR helps your brain reprocess the memories underneath. Each approach makes the others safer and more effective.
It isn't a fixed protocol — your therapist paces and combines these to you, and to what your system can hold. Having all of it under one roof is what makes that integrated, whole-person healing possible.
Not sure which is right for you?
You don't have to know. Susan will listen to what's bringing you in and match you with the right therapist — who'll shape the approach with you.
